IN THE NEWS - MARCH 09
FAST TRACK BUNDLES
Therco’s material stock philosophy along with its machining, drilling and fitting capability was put to the test at the beginning of March 2009. At the request of a key client/partner, Therco manufactured 20 replacement tube bundles over a 2 week period from serial number data only. A ships breakdown status was thereby kept to an absolute minimum. With the main metallurgy being 90/10 copper nickel, the work scope on these sea water cooled bundles is detailed opposite.
This successfully executed test came at a time when Therco’s £9.3million 2008 Audited accounts where placed in the public domain and our sales order book was holding out at £3million. Combine this with Thercos continued and significant inward investment and the company considers itself well positioned for the continuing challenges of the new global economy. |
